Privacy & analytics

These details apply to TheEvent.guide and TheVenue.guide.

Optional Google Analytics

If you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits, movements between our two sites, planner choices and clicks to external providers. Google receives technical information from your browser and uses analytics identifiers and cookies. We do not enable advertising personalization or Google Signals.

Our custom tracking sends public page paths, venue and event identifiers, provider destinations and choice categories. It does not send your typed search text or saved personal planner answers. Link query strings and fragments are omitted from our custom reports.

Google Analytics does not load until you allow it. You can choose No thanks and still use the guides. Use Analytics settings below to change your choice. Choices are stored for up to 180 days separately on each domain. Declining stops future analytics on that domain; it does not delete data already collected. If you allow analytics on both sites, Google can connect your journey between them.

How Google uses information from sites that use its services

Your planner

Planner preferences are saved in your browser so you can return to your plan. They are not reservations. You can clear local site data through your browser settings.

Hosting and external providers

Cloudflare delivers these websites and processes requests for hosting and security. When you follow a ticket, restaurant, hotel or referral link, that provider handles the visit under its own privacy policy. An outbound click does not tell us whether you completed a purchase. Affiliate partners may report qualifying purchases under their program terms.
